Patch Notes for Update 0.2.0


Thanks to everyone for the interest and support on the game so far. It is what motivated me to do a lot of fixes and polishing. Please let me know if you find anything further that should be addressed.

Added

  • New ability for the robot: punch through concrete walls
  • Added another step to the lift puzzle to activate the platforms first and also ladders to climb up again if the player falls down, so it wouldn't need a reset.
  • Sound effects and screen shakes for footsteps on different materials, punching, jump charge and landing
  • Sound effects for doors, bridge, lift and other interactions
  • Animation with color coded hologram when the player commands the robot to "come" or "stay" with different sfx
  • Voiced cutscene for the sector stop
  • 4 new Music tracks (3 in-game, 1 for starting screen)
  • Animated UI for the jump charge
  • UI screen for successfully upgrading the robot
  • New animations for the street food vendors
  • Pause menu, including the player reset option
  • Key binding for the player reset changed to Enter, because Esc opens the pause menu now
  • Mac and LInux build

Fixed

  • Performance increased via occlusion culling and mesh decimation
  • Fixed missing colliders on buildings
  • Fixed exploit of invisible collider and missing navmesh obstacle for the lift puzzle that would softlock the game
  • Robot not turning around anymore upon reaching the player
  • increased ranges of trigger areas for prompts and fix for the climb mechanic to not randomly turn off anymore
  • Turned off the trigger area on top of ladders that prevented the player from jumping down from above, and also exclude the robot triggering it
  • Adjusted shaders for the dumpsters to not warp from the rain effect

Known issues

  • After getting the robot the player reset via menu needs a click on Continue before it is executed Fixed in 0.2.1
  • Sometimes the trigger that activates the lift doesn't register the player leaving and keeps the lift activated therefore softlocking the game because not all robot upgrades can be installed. At the moment only a full restart of the game resolves this Fixed in 0.2.1
  • Occlusion culling causes some of the larger walls in the underground area to flicker in the distance
