Major post-jam update


This update is almost a complete overhaul of the gamejam version in terms of UI, Effects, Visuals and Sound design. Overall it took me almost 3 weeks to put all of this together and now there is also a webGL version along with Mac and Linux. Other things that have been added are:

  • Button prompts stick to the player now
  • The build menu is accessible completely by keyboard and adapts depending to what materials are available
  • Pressing S will close the build menu again
  • The puzzle solutions are sticking to the bridge gaps now and a countdown mechanic makes the gameplay better understandable
  • Sound effects got added for all interactions
  • Particle effects got added for all interactions
  • replaced the ground blocks with cliff terrain, and the fog layer with volumetric fog.
  • new areas with sky transitions, weather effects and animated birds got introduced
  • new bridge pieces
  • GOATS!
  • added more story pieces
  • cinematic end scene and credits
  • tutorial section in the main menu
  • pause menu
  • respawn points for each section of the level
  • animated fail states
  • and probably a couple things more that I am forgetting now
